Connector Package
For acute recordings with 16 channels, the preferred connector packages are the following:
- CM-Series (Omnetics) are one type of package that allows microelectrode arrays to be implanted chronically. The small form factor and lightweight Omnetics connector permit the CM-series package to be used for chronic implantation.
- H-Series (flexible) is a hybrid package introducing a flexible ribbon between the silicon probe and connector PCB to allow connector stand-off or use with a microdrive.
- X-Series (NEW!) mate directly with X-Headstages.
- Z-Series (TDT ZIF) are designed for minimal connection force impact exerted on the animal. They use TDT’s patented ZIFCLIPTM technology.
- MR-Series (MRI) are Omnetics connector-based packages that are MR-compatible.
- D-Series (drug delivery) come with attached fluidic channels for drug delivery, and chemical sampling.
- O-Series (optogenetics) come with attached optical fiber(s) to enable optical stimulation combined with precise neural recording in optogenetics experiments.
