Focal perfusion systems are used to deliver fluids targeted to a region of interest during an electrophysiological experiment. These systems are usually pressurized, since the perfusion outlet diameter is in µm range. Focal perfusion systems are usually combined with an additional bath perfusion system that supplies perfusion to the whole recording chamber or Petri dish.
