Bath or chamber perfusion systems are used to deliver fluids to the whole recording dish. It is vital for the experiment to temper the tissue or cells and supply active substances and nutrients. This can be achieved either by using pump based fluid circuits or gravity driven perfusion systems with large syringe reservoirs. In many applications, such systems are combined with an additional focal perfusion system that applies fluids to a certain region of interested during the experiment.
