The VA-10 voltammetric amplifier is a low-noise high bandwidth potentiostat with pA resolution. It can be used for a wide range of applications such as neurotransmitter detection (e.g. dopamine, glutamate), bio-sensors, carbon fiber electrodes, fast-scan cyclic voltammetry with up to 1000 V/s (FSCV), scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM), scanning electrochemical cell microscopy (SECCM), scanning ion conductance microscopy (SICM), lipid bilayer recordings. The bandwidth can be boosted to several 10kHz with the special frequency booster circuit. There are miniaturised headstages available for in-vivo voltammetry. Read more…
The VA-10 voltametry amplifier can be ordered with different headstage resistances, the detection threshold depends largely< on this feedback resistor and the used electrodes. The device can work in sub-pA range, if all conditions are met.
The headstage can be ordered as a two electrode or three electrode configuration with ground, working electrode and counter electrode.
The working electrode potential range can be chosen upon ordering, standard is ±1V
The frequency booster enhances the recording bandwidth to several 10 kHz by special tuning of the device.
